| One of the most common
skin complaints from both men and women, is the appearance
over time of bothersome veins on the face and legs. As the
support structure of the skin and blood vessels weaken with
age, vessels can dilate and appear on the surfaces as tiny
red veins (telangiectasia), red spider veins or larger blue
veins. Our processes can be used
to selectively heat the hemoglobin with these unnecessary
vessels to seal off and destroy them - without needles, and
without unduly bruising or damaging the surrounding skin. |

The Cutera™
CoolGlide® combines the ideal laser wavelength with the most
flexible parameters to delilver a superior vascular laser
system. it treats a broad range of vessels from tiny spider
veins to deep blue reticular veins quick, safely, and
effectively. Patients with dark, light or tanned
skin can experience outstanding results with minimal
bruising or blistering.
Treatment:
Most patients find one to three treatments are sufficient.
However, the exact protocol depends on the number, color and
size of the vessels being treated. Small facial veins
can be treated quickly; larger veins may take longer.
Knotty varicose veins are not suitable for treatment.
Each session takes from five to thirty minutes.
Results:
The majority of vessels treated with CoolGlide 1064 show
significant improvement within two to six weeks of
treatment. For larger veins, a tan or brownish pigment may
persist for a few months following treatment. Final results
may not be apparent for several months.
